Levrikon
A wild, surreal radioplay by Ergo and company that reminds this writer of a compact version of one of the tales in The Faust Cycle. Full of queasy samples and goofy scatological humor, as one would expect when poking fun at Mr. Gibson. Highly recommended!
"Satire isn't only a staunch purveyor of sanity these days, it's a reliable repository for reality itself. Satire is nothing short of a redoubt. You can go to its environs and be cleansed and saved at the same time, wiping off the clinging airborne shite of the world, returning with your fists clenched and your sticks sharpened, revitalised and ready to punch a fascist for being a fascist. Today, and more than ever, satirists blaze that saviour trail, pointing out exactly why fools' rules rule, and why they fucking well shouldn't .... as well as why, via the methodology of satire, we, upon meaningful contact with it, can at least stop ourselves going cheerlessly mad. The targets of satire are the correct ones. It's important to know that others also know that dangerous and disagreeable tossers are dangerous and disagreeable tossers, and to know, in turn, by saying so, that others agree with your reasoning and your reasons why. This builds a counter-culture and constitutes a form of resistance. Such resistance is far from futile; it is in fact to stress-test and future-proof facticity itself. Similarly, such resistance is about collectivism, about reciprocity, and reciprocity as a saving grace. Humour humanises. Hear how we laugh our hollow-laugh. That's the very Universe agreeing with you. It's nothing short of physicality, dear reader. Don't equivocate .... Say it. Mean it. Apply it. Defeat their argument. For they have no argument. Destroy them. Mocking the mockable stems the burgeoning tide of the mockable mocking reality and you with it. They prefer poverty and war, and they are a threat to life. It's crucial, therefore, to point and laugh at the merely powerful and to expose the essential weakness of pure authority and violence underpinning it.
Beancounters and their miserable Midases spew forth from the sewers of the systems they impose, demanding that we worship the stink they create. Fuck 'em and the cosmic lie they rode in on"

Among the most forward thinking musicians of our time could not leave 2020 without a statement about capitalistic perseverance and royal levels of face-saving therein. Matt DeMello (himself)

An early and undeniable peak in the Kings' discography. Perhaps the single release that proved to the notoriously stingy PVD arts and prog communities this was a band with both staying power and a clear agenda. Matt DeMello (himself)
